Competition platform

From submitting an entry to judging the final round.

Project overview

What it is.

Who it’s for

Creative competition hosts, participants submitting work and judges reviewing entries.

Competition.ae brings the administration of a creative competition into one platform. Hosts set up the competition, participants submit their work, and judges review and score the entries. We built the separate account roles and dashboards around those stages, so running the event does not depend on collecting submissions and scores in disconnected tools.

  • Competition creation and host management
  • Participant accounts and creative submissions
  • Anonymous entry presentation for judging
  • Scoring, results and leaderboards
  • Host plans, payment integration and platform administration

What it does.

A workspace for the host.

Hosts manage the competition and its submissions from a dedicated dashboard. Their work is different from entering or judging, so the platform separates those roles. Account and hosting-plan management sit alongside the competition tools, with platform administrators handling the wider service.

A clear submission path.

Participants use their accounts to enter work into a competition. The platform brings the entry and its competition context together, rather than leaving hosts to reconcile separate messages and uploads. The same account provides a place to follow the competition and see its published results.

Judge the work without the identity.

The judging workflow presents entries anonymously and records scores for the results. Keeping participant, judge and host controls separate supports that process. Results and leaderboards then provide the public-facing outcome of the scoring, without making the host manually assemble the presentation from score sheets.

The administration around the event.

The project also includes host-account management, payment integration, notifications and platform controls. These cover the work surrounding the competition itself: managing access, communicating changes and administering the service.

How it works.

  1. Create the competition

The host sets up the event and manages it from the host dashboard.

  2. Enter and review

Participants submit their work; judges assess the anonymous entries and record their scores.

  3. Publish the results

The platform brings the scores into results and leaderboards for the competition.
